Crimestoppers Rural Crime Survey

02/11/2021

Crimestoppers has been running a national rural crime campaign using social media and partner networks to help rural communities keep safer. The campaign is supported by among others, NFU Mutual, RSPCA, Countryside Alliance, National Wildlife Crime Unit and the Environment Agency.

You are probably aware that the NFU Mutual's 2021 report, states rural crime cost the UK an estimated £43.3m in 2020. The National Rural Crime Network 2018 survey states some three quarters of people in rural communities are aware of criminal activity, with one in ten reporting they feel unsafe in their homes after dark.

Crimestoppers in Essex is asking people in rural communities to speak up about crime in the countryside. Please help by completing a survey being conducted in South Essex.
