RDC Waste Survey

22/11/2022

Residents are being asked to answer a short online survey about how they dispose of their waste to identify any areas of confusion and ensure the correct items go in the correct bins.

Rochford District Council's Portfolio Holder for the Environment, Cllr Dave Sperring said: “Putting the wrong items in your recycling bin can spoil the rest of the recyclable items and can result in increasing the cost of your recycling collection service, reduce the quality and value of our recycling material and reduce the amount we recycle.

"Spoiling your recycling waste can result in not only your bin, but an entire vehicle load of waste being sent to landfill.”

The survey is now available on the council's website, all residents who answer each question correctly will be entered into a prize draw for a seasonal Christmas Hamper full of delicious fresh fruit and vegetables.

The closing date is 9 December 2022.
