Christmas & New Year Bin Collection Dates

Rochford District residents continue to be amongst the best in England when it comes to recycling, and we would like to say a big thank you for all your help.

 

With Christmas only just around the corner, it is more important than ever that we try to minimise our waste and recycle as much as possible.

 

There will be changes to your normal collection days over the festive period so please check the table below to see if you are affected.

Normal collections will resume in the week commencing Monday 6th January 2020.

 

Limited side waste left beside your bin will be collected over the Christmas period as follows:

 

  • RECYCABLES – Two cardboard boxes containing recyclables (plastic sacks or bags

will not be collected)

  • NON-RECYCLABLES – Two plastic sacks or bags

 

These will be collected from Friday 27 December 2019 to Tuesday 7 January 2020 inclusive.

No additional side waste will be collected before or after these dates.

 

Real Christmas trees can be cut up and placed inside your compostables bin with the lids shut, or disposed of at the recycling centre at Castle Road, Rayleigh.
