May Day Bank Holiday Moves for VE Day 8th May

30/04/2020

Friday 8th May marks the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. This year, the Government has moved the May bank holiday from Monday to VE Day to allow the nation to remember this important event.

There are a host of digital resources available online that enable residents to commemorate those who gave their lives in the Second World War.

https://ve-vjday75.gov.uk/https://ve-vjday75.gov.uk/ has provided a full toolkit for those at home to host their own tea party, complete with colouring, bunting, and creative challenges for children. The website also has a wide variety of information available to teach young ones the importance of VE Day.
