Rayleigh Windmill Half Term Activities

28/10/2019

Autumn is officially here and the Rayleigh Windmill will be opening her doors for October half term!

Come along on Wednesday 30 October 2019 between 10am – 1pm to discover more about the Windmill’s rich history and her important role in Rayleigh in the 210 years she has been standing.

A team of enthusiastic volunteers work hard to make the Grade II listed building an exciting place to visit, even dressing up in traditional costume!

Visit each of our four floors with fun activities for children, fascinating artefacts and stunning views across the town and beyond.

Rochford District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community, Cllr Mike Webb, said: “You don’t need to travel miles to have a great day out with the kids when we have the award-winning Rayleigh Windmill on our doorstep. This will be our last day open of the year so don’t miss out!”

Entry is free of charge, a minimum £1 donation per person is encouraged.
