Testing Dates

08/07/2020

Those in England and Wales who do not have any access to the internet, or who have difficulty with the digital portals, will be able to ring the 119 service to book their test between the hours of 7am - 11pm. The service can be accessed by people with hearing or speech difficulties by calling 18001 119 (in England and Wales).

The Department of Health & Social Care has confirmed the COVID-19 mobile testing units will be at Rayleigh Leisure Centre on Saturday 20thJune. The units will operate from roughly 10.30am to 4pm each day, using military resources.

Anyone wanting to be tested must pre-book an appointment and travel to the centre by car - i.e. not on foot or by public transport.

Testing is now available for under 5's at the mobile testing units. The test must be performed by a parent or guardian. It is possible children may experience some mild discomfort, but it should not hurt. When a child takes a test, their parent/guardian will be told how results will be passed to them. This may be by email or by text or both.

The COVID-19 mobile testing units will be at Rayleigh Leisure Centre onTuesday 7th July and Saturday 11th July. The units will operate from roughly 10.30am to 4pm each day.

Test kits have been offered to every care home for over-65s or those with dementia in England.
